Howdy everyone!  First and foremost, I'm going to say that it is indeed an honor to see that Sonic has been around for 25 YEARS!!!  Everyone's favorite blue hedgehog is going on 25 in June, but it's never too early to wish everyone's favorite hedgehog a happy birthday!  

Secondly, I've been watching a few people who have messaged me on Facebook about a Sonic Community Project I'm spearheading, titled The Black Meteor Project.  I'm going to get right to it.

The Black Meteor Project is a Sonic Comic Project which will be done by the Sonic Community as a whole.  I've taken up the role of writing the script for the comic, which will consist of a trilogy.  To those who've followed me long enough, I had originally intended for this to be a game, but due to a lack in applications, and energy, I've decided to take on another approach, rewrite the entire script, and make this a comic instead.  It's going to be a comic, and that is that.  Nothing more, nothing less.

I will be doing some FAQ's on what it will be in general, so keep reading!

  • What is The Black Meteor Project?
    • The Black Meteor Project is a planned Sonic Comic Project which will be done by the entire Sonic community.  If Sega happens to notice the Project, that'll make the whole thing that much better.
  • What's the story behind the Black Meteor Project?
    • Well, the first part of the project will be called Sonic and the Black Meteor, and it will star everyone's favorite blue hero.  The synopsis of the story is an ancient evil that was banished from Mobius returns to wreak havoc on Mobius, and even destroy it in the process.  Sonic and his friends have to race against the clock to save Mobius from the threat of the ancient evil.
  • Is the Black Meteor anything like the Black Comet?  Did you get inspiration from the Shadow the Hedgehog game?
    • I've been asked this over on Facebook via Messages, and on FB Messenger TOO MANY TIMES!  I'm going to clear this up right now: NO, The Black Meteor is nothing like the Black Comet, Black Doom isn't coming back, EVER, and NO, I did not get inspiration from the Shadow the Hedgehog game.
  • Why make it a Community Project?  Why can't you do everything yourself?
    • Well, I've decided to let the Sonic Community participate in this because not only do I want to give them a story, but I also want them to assist me in making this story a reality.  And, normally, I'd make it some sort of Sprite Comic (Much like Sonic Madness), but I figured I'd love to give this comic a bit of diversity.  I am an avid follower of a Fullmetal Alchemist comic that is still in work by the lovely DeviantART Risembool Rangers, and I figured that if the Risembool Rangers can come together to make their comic a community project, I could do the same with The Black Meteor Project.
  • Will there be pairings?
    • Yes, there will be pairings.  None of them will be yaoi, or yuri for that matter.  I will not talk about this any further to prevent the masses from yelling at me.
  • Can I join in making this Project a reality?
    • Yes, you positively can.  If you are looking to do work on pages, then I would like to see a portfolio of your work, preferably with Sonic characters or comic formats.  If you are looking to do a bit of writing, I would love the additional help in getting the script done, however, I would like to see a sample of your writings before I decide.
  • Will there be Original Characters?
    • Yes, and I will discuss the addition of your OC's, if you wish to add them into the project.  There are a few open spots for Original Characters, but I will discuss that much later.  The Original Characters I will be adding will be important to the storyline and plot in general.
  • Which universe will it follow?  Underground?  Archie?  SatAM?
    • I haven't really given it that much thought right off the bat, but I would consider that it follows the Games, and takes place about four months after the events of Sonic: Lost World.
  • Any new places we should look out for?
    • Yes, there is one, and a majority of the story will take place there:  It is the Star District, and it is located in the middle of a vast ocean.  Its primary export is tangerines and apples, and its currency is Star Points, which are recorded on Star Cards.
  • What information can you provide us?
    • Not much at the moment, seeing as I'm still working on getting a crew together to make this story a reality.  There will be more news and information in the future.  I installed this skin specifically to talk about the Sonic Project, so whenever you see this skin, there will be an update on The Black Meteor Project.

Other than that, I've run over everything concerning TBMP, except for one thing...
The addition of Original Characters into the story.

Originally, I was going to have seven characters be dragons in the comic, but I've recently thought against it, and decided to allow you the opportunity to have your characters be one of these select few characters.

Here are the remaining characters needed:

Fire: (Tiger, or an animal relating to the Fire Element.)

Water: (Any type of creature that resides in the ocean will do.)

Air/Wind: (Any type of creature that can easily fly will do. Specifically, I'm looking for any characters who have a Bird OC they wish to add.)

Earth: (I'm specifically looking for any people who have a Bear OC)

Ice: (Any creature that makes its life out of the cold winter will do. Perhaps an Arctic Fox, or something like that.  Has to be related to Lightning by blood.)

Lightning: (Has to be a Fox.  Has to be related to Ice by blood.)

Shadow/Darkness has already been claimed, so do not ask about it.

Now, as such, I want to give every person a fair advantage, and not make everyone mad, so I've put down some rules as to the addition of Original Characters:


  1. They must add to the plot. If they're going to be in it, they must have some sort of story that adds to the plot itself. If you note me with an image of your character, and say you want them added to the story, you must convince me that they need to be a part of it. The only thing I can do is give them a cameo appearance if no story is given.
  2. I can't stress this enough, but please, NO MARY SUES OR GARY STUS. I don't want something like, "Oh, well, he's Sonic's long-lost brother, and everybody likes him, that's why he should be added". This character must be original, sure the character could have some sort of past with some of the characters, but nothing too detailed. If you want the character to have a past with any of the characters, please let me know, okay? We'll work something out. But no Mary Sue or Gary Stu characters, okay?
  3. Nothing too OP (Over Powering), and no immortal characters. They may take pain, but I will make sure none of your characters die, okay? By OP, I mean they cannot have all these powers all at once, and they cannot be god-like. You may add one or two powers to the characters, but other than that, nothing that'll make them too overpowering. Also, one thing to keep in mind, if you have any characters that have a reaction to the Chaos Emeralds, Super Emeralds, Sol Emeralds, or something like that, please let me know, okay?
  4. YOU MAY ONLY ADD TWO CHARACTERS. As much fun as it is to have your characters make an appearance in a comic, I'm severely going to limit down on how many characters are added into the comic. You will only be allowed to add one or two characters, and that's it. I'll find a place for everybody's characters, but I don't want it to be cluttered with Original Characters. This story is about Sonic saving Mobius, after all.
  5. WHEN NOTING ME, PROVIDE AN IMAGE OF YOUR CHARACTER. I will ask for an image of your character if you have not yet provided one, but I will not go by a detailed description of the character. I must have an image of your character, OR YOUR CHARACTER WILL NOT BE ADDED.
